The Regional Settings (Windows PPC 2003 SE) do not offer the options that I
require under English (United Kingdom). For example no dates with day of
the week
and only metric measurements (WHO told MS that England has gone metric?).
The possibilities are, I think (but am not sure about Imperial measurements
which are NOT the same as US), available for other regions, but not in the
right combinations. Is it possible (via a registry hack?) to get what I
want?

TIA

Hi
I use the following reg hack:
UK settings with day name:

HKLM\nls\overrides\

Select SLDte (add "new string value" if it's not there)

Change to:

"dddd d MMMM yyyy"

You can use variations of this too: use MMM for Dec, or ddd for Wed etc
Make sure you backup your device first, though!

Was about to try your suggestion but PHMRegedit won't install on my Pocket
Loox 720 (running Windows PPC 2003SE)

Try a soft rest prior to installing it?

You could also try an easier way. Regional settings are separate from
the time zone setting so choose a country setting that gives you the
option that you need. For example I use English (Australia) although I
an in the UK. This allows the long date setting I want that is not in
the UK regional settings. I had to reset the currency symbol too. Days
are available in the Australia settings but weren't in the UK one which
is why I chose it.

btw Thanks to the author of Calendar+ who told me about this- sorry I
forgot your name, and the computer that had the email on has just
trashed its hard disk so I can't find it.
