Hi,
I've got a Compaq 3870 and I'm thinking of getting a Tom Tom Bluetooth
Navigator 3 for it. Has anyone used one? I've only just got the 3870
and have never had a PDA before. I'm assuming that if I get the
bluetooth version it means that I'll just be able to carry the thing
from one car to the other and use it without having to get a cable
plummed into the second car will I? Any guidance welcome.
Thanks,
Rowan.

Used it? Yes, it's the most popular PDA based Nav System. See our website
for reviews and user forums. I concur that the BT GPS system is the best
route and don't forget a 256MB SD Card for map data and a decent PDA Cradle
and 12v charger for use in-car :)

I have a 3870 and use TomTom 3.

However I don't use a bluetooth GPS mouse I use an Emtac GPS sleeve

http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=112533

This means my bluetooth is free to connect via GPRS on my cellphone to
the internet for the TomTom online traffic service and to receive emails
while mobile.

The Emtac sleeve has a CF slot so you're free to use CF cards or the
ipaqs SD slot.

Handy thing too is there is a charge connection on the sleeve that is
the same type of plug as the older ipaqs which always seems to me to be
more robust than the later models.
