upgrading AD from W2K to W2K3

We only have 1 site, with 2 DCs, a simple setup.

What would be the best way to upgrade our DCs to W2K3?
Should we consider an in-place upgrade? Is that recommended at all?

Any advice or links would be greatly appreciated.

In-place upgrades are supported, or you can use the "Walk-In-Take-Over"
approach - bring up a 2003 server from scratch as a member server, and then
use dcpromo to create it as a brand new 2K3 DC in your domain. I prefer the
latter approach since I like clean installs, but an upgrade of an existing
DC will work as well. (With the usual disclaimer that an OS upgrade isn't
small potatoes, and so be sure that you've got a verified and tested backup
in place before you begin.)
