That's a real shame - at the moment I have mail forwarding to a POP
server, but once it comes out of beta I think forwarding will be a
paid-for service.

I guess the problem is delivering adverts on a mobile device. I never
click adverts on the PDA because i'm always weary of bandwidth.

The following is displayed when accessing Gmail with PIE, "Gmail does not
currently support your browser. See browser requirements for gmail."

If that's the case, anyone try accessing with an alternate browser like
NetFront? I can't try it because I don't have a Gmail account. Last thing I
needed was another e-mail account.

Not working for me. I can see the login window, but the username
and password boxes don't show up. Perhaps someone a little more
in line with the times will try.

NetFront v3.1 for Pocket PC 2002 with JV-Lite2
Dell Axim X5 Advanced (not so advanced any more, *sight)

yup :(
Even when you edit PIE to show as IE6, you still get it. Google
obviously don't want portable platforms to access it as they don't
generate much revenue. Fair enough, but ultimately its stopping me from
using gmail as my #1 provider.

The username and password boxes will show up if you set a UserAgent string
to mimic Internet Explorer 6, and you can log in. However their fancy
javascript/dhtml functionality then falls over, you get a long page with
"loading" written several times, and that's it.
