Hi to all,
Since going to ADSL broadband, I have no icon showing internet activity. The modem is permanenly on as soon as the computer is switched on. With dial-up I had the option to connect or not, which I don't seem to have with broadband, which is OK, but I'd like to see something happening when accessing sites (other than getting under the desk and watching the flashing lights on the modem) The ADSL modem/router is a Speedstream ethernet/USB (connected USB)
I've played around with the system monitor, but don't know what it is I'd like to monitor? I don't want an added utility to do this, surely I've got something in this box of tricks to do the job?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks AmostBob,
I'll look into these, although I'd hoped for using some sort of utility that was already on my system ie system monitor or somesuch. Maybe not.

Here's one that works good for me, and it can be customized to run only in
the system bar.

I am using Version 0.8.6.0 (Build date: 06/27/03).
