Hi all,

I'm thinking about buying additional maps for TomTom 3 and a SD or CF card
(my Loox 610 can handle both) to store them.

Is there a good reason to buy a faster memory type for TomTom, will the
application run slow when it's calculating the route on a cheaper and
slower card? Any experience anybody?

I've got an HP5550 and a CF card GPS (I got from Pharos systems). The lag I
mentioned is there, but is defenitely NOT a bother (perhaps I guessed wrong
at the lag as well; maybe it's more like 50 to 100 feet). I have just
happened to notice it when crossing over a river. The only time it has
screwed me uo in the past is in these complicated interstate intersections
where many roads come together and the exits are a bit complex. Needless to
say I try to keep my eyes focused outside with the occasional look inside at
