PocketPC 2003. PDA2k unit.

I am trying to setup my 802.11 to be able to use a VPN.
I see how to do setup a VPN under Connections/My Work
Network. But under that, 802.11b is not a "Modem"
choice.

How would I go about setting my device up so that I can
use 802.11b to connect to the internet and occasionally
connect to a VPN at work?

I want to use my device as such:
At home or near a wireless AP, I want to connect to the
Internet. If I need to hit the work network, I need to
hit their VPN server. But I only want to do that by
choice, not all the time.

Out and about the town, use GPRS to hit the Internet. If
I need to do some work in an emergency, then hit the VPN
server. Again, only by choice.

How can I do this?

thanks.

I have followed the instructions on the links below. But
I am having a problem. I can never get the private
network.

I know this VPN works because it is the same VPN that I
use on my laptop under XP. So I'm sure it works. But
when I try it on the PocketPC, it seems like it connects,
but I can't access anything.

I switched the VPN type from PPTP to IPsec/l2tp and when
the VPN tries to connect I get an error. When it is set
to PPTP it seems to connect. So I've left it on PPTP.
But still no luck. This is what it does.

I select the appropriate network and all. I launch
internet explorer and go to an Intranet site on the
p;rivate network. IE never loads the page. Another
thing I try is to use Terminal Services to get to my work
desktop. It never works either.

The biggest problem with using vpn to connect to an AP then to the net is
they you need to set exceptions in the ppc very broad and I don't think
it'll work all that well. The connection manager never thought that you'd
need to connect to a vpn then get on the internet. The way it's setup in
the ppc is different than in xp, in xp you can split the tunnel and such.
In the ppc can go to the internet and drop the vpn tunnel or tunnel through
the vpn but not both. The only way i've seen this work on the ppc was using
true ip/sec with either split tunneling enabled and/or everything go through
the tunnel. The only problem is that most of the third party ip/sec clients
are disappearing fast leaving a big void.
