Nice car. It probably costs half as much as my house. I'd get a Porsche 911, though.

V10, 507 bhp, 0-100km/h in 4.6s, 0-200km/h in 12.8s........... Just don“t kill yourself

I'd rather have a brand new Z06 thats $5000-10000 less, .9 seconds faster 0-60, and over a second faster in the 1/4 mile. Not to mention it'll own an M6 around the track. Plus the fuel economy is good enough to drive it every day and not cry (16 mpg city, 26 mpg highway).

Yeah. You're right. It only holds the world record for the fastest lap time around Nurburing for a production vehicle. Pfft. Shitty.

Do you mean 124 mph or kph? 124 kph is only 77 mph. Thats nothing. I do that on the highway going to work. And theres a big difference between that and 140 mph which I've done as well. I won't go over 140 mph on a public road since I don't trust the road enough.

M3s only have an inline-6 with 333 hp. Theres a huge difference between that and a V10 with 500 hp (not to mention the torque difference). Sounds like another spectacular car wreck waiting to happen. Also sounds like this guy is young and has never driven a powerful car before.

Not saying I'm old at 23 but I've driven my 89 430 hp Camaro, my dads 330 hp 02 WS6 Trans Am, my brothers 350 rwhp twin turbo Supra, and a guys 385 hp 01 Corvette Z06.

That's a fu**ing ugly car. Plus, it's american...

Z06 is great, if you live in Nevada, where there are no corners........

M5 pwns Z06!!! Nissan Pulsar GTi-R pwns all!!!

Reply to mesarectifier

The Z06 will go through a corner faster than an M5.
Z06 is at .99g on the skid pad, and the M5 is at .9.
The Nissan doesn't even get to .9.
Of these cars I'd take a Vette.

I'd sell myself to science, sell the house, PC, mom, dad, brother and sister to buy a $450,000 Porsche Carrera GT.

Talking about bragging......
Ever heard of a Honda X11 ? 140 HP on about 225 KG
I dont even want to spend that kind of money on something what is just a car, yet i'll beat you flat out from 0-120 mph............only thing you beat me is top speed, if theres a limiter on that M6 we have about the same top.
Naked bike , based on a slightly detuned blackbird engine....
Boy oh boy...that M6 will get smoked, and I can buy at least 6-7 bikes for the price of that M6......a huge waste of money if you ask me...
And no, i'm not jeaulous , i just got other plans with my money then buy cars.......
But hey...its your money... :D
No hard feelings....just i'm very sorry I live in Belgium , I dont see M6's here , i've seen a few m3's but that's it........
Those M3's were pretty easy though , would love a crack at an m5 or m6.
(not the old m5 though, the V8 one , they only got 400 HP)

Reply to TurricaN_BEL_

You guys all suck! I own a 98 Toyota Corolla (its zippy-er than what most of my friends have, but that's not saying much). I'd like to upgrade it somehow to make it faster, but just about the only thing I could do is super/turbo it and that would cost about as much as its worth... especially since I'd probably have to upgrade the tranny too. The vehicle with the best power/mass ratio I've driven is my dad's '05 Tundra DoubleCab w/245hp and 325lb-ft. That thing can burn rubber but doesn't really have that much 'GO' to it... its too damn heavy and the gearing is probably too tall. My friend's dad drives a MB C32 AMG that I have ridden in which was pretty fun, but it mostly makes me jealous.
Someday, when I get a REAL job... :(

edit: I'm sure that with enough $ you can get the computer into the M6... what kind of specs were you thinking of? Good luck!

I love the "old" M5. Something about it just seems AWESOME to me. Maybe its just because I like the look of the previous gen 5 series better than the new. Plus, 400hp would be more than enough for me... I only have 120hp on my little commuter.

Old M5 rocked! So did old M6. It all went wrong when BMW asked Chris Bangle to take a **** all over their range.

You should try overclocking your M6.

Do you live in fantasy land of GT4 and the Fast and the Furious (or as the local law enforcement around here calls it, the Stupid and the Dead)?

I'm not going to argue with you clowns. Spit out facts if you think you know something. Leet speak and claims don't mean anything. You're talking to a guy who actually likes to drive cars in the real world, not some video game.

And yeah. MrCommunist. Bikes are faster than cars. I just like having 4 wheels and a steel cage around me. People drive too crappy here to ride a crotch rocket. Had a guy lying on the road dead outside my old apartment complex once because he t-boned a car that pulled out in front of him (at least thats what it looked like had happened).

Reply to FITCamaro

Uhh... I drive a Toyota Corolla. Its an econobox not a bike. 0-60 in the 9ish range. As far as I know it has 4 wheels and its probably mostly steel too... at least I got the trunk to stop leaking!
My Car: Toyota Corolla

Oops. Looked at wrong name. Meant Turrican guy.

Reply to FITCamaro

FITcamaro is right, the Z06 is really great car, i'd buy a 2006 if i had the money. let him buy whatever he wantsthough, if he wants a bmw "big money waste" then let him have it. LOL! but for sure that m6 would get whooped performance wise. and just because it's an american car doesn't mean that all of them are bad, although i agree, some of them are really shitty, but that's not one of them.

Reply to habitat87

Dude, calm down, just havin' a joke. I agree with you, I think that people who ride bikes really deserve to crash them, but 'Nissan Pulsar GTi-R pwns all' was not meant to be taken literally.

I've never driven a Z06 but have heard bad things about it's handling. M5 is probably the fastest thing I've been in, although it was modded. A guy I know used to work for a Lamborghini specialist and they re-routed the air-con into the engine for a 'supercharged' effect. Not sure of the technicalities, but that thing went like ******************.

I just really like the Pulsar, my bro's is awesome fun, it's cheap, and it's really 'upgradeable' - you can get up to 1000bhp out of them!!

M3s weren't designed for straightaway performance. They were designed for handling/cornering, which they do very well. VERY well. 330 HP from a straight 6 is not bad considering its normaly aspirated and the car's lightweight of about 3500 lbs. The BMW M3 CSL boosted the sixes horsepower to 360 and lowered the weight even further to about 3060 lbs.

IIRC they are supposed to be redesigned and get V8s on the next model year.

I'm not familiar with the Z6, only the Z4 which doesn't come close to the performance levels of the M3.

Seriously...shut up. Keep this kind of ignorant comment to yourself.

They're talking about a Corvette Z06 not a BMW Z6 (which doesn't exist) although the Z8 Alpina was pretty cool if somewhat odd looking.

Edit: Let me rephrase that. Odd looking from some angles.
Edit2: Scratch that... Looked up some pics on Google. I like it.

LOL!!! I searched all over for a BMW Z6!!! There apparently was a few concept cars out there.

The new Vette Z6 is an outstanding car and I would love to have one.

Reply to Anoobis

With all this talk of cars, how bout I just say it. McLaren F1!

Reply to Caboose-1

caboose, i was thinking about doing that, but i guess you decided to just say it... LOL! try buggati veyron... hehe

Reply to habitat87

Actually the ultimate car atm would be the Bugatti Veyron I believe, the McLaren F1 is an awesome car but I think the Veyron would out perform it.

Everybody keeps saying Z06 cause it's faster, buying a car isn't always about faster, I personally would take the M6, albeit slower, over the Z06 simply because I like the way it looks better and I believe BMW has a better build quality than Chevrolet but still mostly looks, but then again I'd just buy a 350Z add twin turbos and some other go fast goodies and be supremely happy because I think the 350Z is just dead sexy

*EDIT*

Bah, got to it (Veyron) before me whilst I was typing, lol

Reply to Milla_Dahmer

LOL! Hmmm, i rode in a 2002 corvette Z06, it's not that bad on the inside, and it's got super cool features i don't believe you can find in the bmw. like the digital speedometer thing in the window that only the driver can see. other stuff i ain't even seen before or knew it existed. and can somebody tell me what on earth is a M6? does that even exist? or did you mean the bmw "series 6"?

Reply to habitat87

whoops my bad, i searched it. now i see, my mistake, lol.

Reply to habitat87

theres a big diference between the z06 and the M6, mostly design and technology implemented in the M6 is far greater i love BMW a big fan here the make relaible fast and beautiful cars but not Race Monster cars like corvette, so 2 difente things here.

Reply to Sonic_Reducer

actually, the corvette is a well designed car too if i'm not mistaken, and i agree, the bmw is proably a lot more well designed then it, but for $30,000 dollars more, i don't think the "well designed" car would make up for that much more money does it? and it does make use of a 7.0 liter v8, with good gas mileage, compared to the bmw. monster race car? hmmm, not the corvette... maybe just some interior that should be of higher quality, i agree, but that's about it. the build of the corvette is of actually very high quality in the mechanics itself. not that i have anything against the bmw, just pointing out that it's probably not worth the money you have to spend for good quality "interior build".

Reply to habitat87

and for looks, i think the older m3's m5's were way better, they should have stuck to that. that's just my opinion though... i could see myself spending the money for one of those. hahaha, i think we pushed this too far into the car forum already, oops... lol

Reply to habitat87

Does this have anything to do with CPUs? Like maybe intel or Amd cpu for the computer in your car. If you have the cash for the car then you would have the cash to get this done the right way. If you have to ask your not ready. The words my first girlfriend told me about sex... damn I hate her..ouch

Reply to Panzerzero

damn, you know what? after i took a look at the pics closely of the new m6, i actually kept an open mind about it, you right, that is damn sexy! LOL! well, it's a bit pricey but with the physical outside and inside design it has, i guess i can see why. i guess to each their own...

How bout I just say it. Citroen 2V. My great uncle in Luxembourg (I'm originally from Belgium) owned 7 of them. He'd get a new one every two years because, by then, the previous one had rusted to the point of doors falling off.

I love BMW as well. The M3 is my favorite because it has a much more sexy and aggressive look to it as well as being the most athletic of them. (Wow, I just described the kind of women I like too.)

However, even though they are getting better, never use the term "reliable" in a positive way when dealing with German cars. Well engineered...yes. Probably some of the best. But not very reliable.

Wow, that can pertain to the kind of women I like as well. :)
