I've been reading the forums for people who have oc'd the new 4800, but can't find any.

I'm getting the parts for my new rig in this week. Main points is amd x2 4800, asus a32sli delux and a zalmon 9500 for cooling. I have not bought the memory yet, but will probably go with some nice ocz.

Has anybody here oc'd this one? I don't think I want to up the voltage to it. What can I get it up to and be stable?

Sky's the limit...

Depends on how you want to approach things...

Stock...12x cpu multi

On the 12x you might be able to push it as high as 250, but not likely. 250*12=3000. You'd probably be running way too hot. That's on a 4x htt, 1.5v, and 1:1. Ram, lots of ram can do 250fsb...

On the 11x 275 top end. 1.5vcore and 1:1. If you buy 2x512 tccd. 3x HTT, some bh-5,6 will do this (not that you can buy that anymore...).

One the 10x 300 top end. 1.5vcore and 1:1 if you buy 2x512 tccd. 3x HTT.

With dividers, you could be all over the place...3ghz is a generous top end for any x2, but it's possible. More likely you won't be able to push past 2.8-2.9ghz on air. The 1.5v is generous as well...Some cpu's do that well, but most will need more (sometimes a lot more...) voltage. The guys who use better cooling (phase etc), use upwards of 1.8v. On air i wouldn't push 1.55.
