How do you think this will effect the release of DX10 hardware and other hardware in the near future?

Your thoughts.

Personally I think the only effected hardware will be Video Cards. ATI and NVIDIA might take a little breather to further the technology even more due to this delay and release a very big bomb come December in anticipation for the January release of Vista.

ait and nvidia will contine to pump out cards regardless of what new software is comin out, but vistia isnt going to live up to the hype that everyone is giving it, but there isnt an alternitive to it that can run all the games, thats the only reason i havnt switched yet, i have a unix box that can kick the crap outa my pIII and its half the speed. if the edit the way the commands are exucuted then well be in good shape, but until then its all about power.
and ait and nvidia will continue to pump out cards like i said before becuase its a battle to be the best. ati has yet to answer to nvidias quad sli setup but when they do itll just bump the price down of the cards we want, so eather way the comsumer is going to win in this aspect. but if ur one of those insae ppl that spends 5k a year to keep ur comp uptodate i feel bad for u cuz ur gunna be spending a ton of money this year with am2 and all the new intel stuff comin out. well back to the grind of school, and there crap hps, DAMN THE SYSTEM!!
