Hi all,
I wanted to ask what I need to look for in an lcd screen if I wish to add a touchscreen controller to it. I heard that its pretty much possible to convert any lcd screen to a touchscreen. how do these controllers connect to the screen? where can i find these controllers for sale?
thanks a bunch.

As far as I know you can purchase a touch screen monitor but having touch screen mod for upgrading a regular lcd? I don't know, I would rather buy an lcd monitor rather than this mod if there is one.

Is it something that is attach inside the monitor or on the screen or both?

I've never personally heard of a mod like that before. And my sister use to work for a company that designed and manufactured touchscreens. As far as I understood they had to be manufactured from the beginning to be a touchscreen.

from what i understand it isnt really a mod.
by buying a touch controller and attaching it to an lcd u get the exact results a touchscreen out of the box gives you.
I also work for a company where we work with touchscreen regularly and we are now switching the lcds to something better, but leaving the controllers the same way.
the biggest touch manufacturer is ELO. they sell both complete sets or seperate components such as touch controllers.
I was just curious to see if anyone here has had experience messing around with these controllers before.
