What a solid build!

One suggestion. Switch to this cooler:
Zalman CNPS9500 $59.99

There are also others that will work as well using fans.

A SLI MB but not going SLI? You could prolly save some $$ if you switch to a non-SLI board, unless you plan on using SLI later, but you dead set on that MB it seems 8) /shrug
If you stay with that MB, you could switch the ram with the a8n32-SLI's recommended memory, XMS 3500LL PRO.

Also, some other heatsink options would be the zalman 9500 like Newf said, or the XP-90C, or the SI-120 i believe is another good one.

And if you going with the 7800GTX, i think newegg might still have that deal where you get $100 off the video card if you buy one of the X2 processors... Just some other options to think about.

The SLI board is good for switching to SLI later or adding a high-end x8 or x16 PCI-Express controller card like a RAID-6 controller perhaps.

That's a nice build, but I'd suggest going with a dual core processor like the X2 4400+ as dual core will be the future even for gaming. Some people say that multithreaded games will take awhile to materialize, but I strongly disagree since most game developers are being forced to utilize multithreaded routines with the Xbox 360 and PS3. The transition will happen much sooner than later.

Also, I would go with a Seagate 7200 rpm 250 MB hard drive and get rid of the Raptor. It costs less and you sacrifice some speed for more storage.

If thats case about games coming out later utilizing dual core why not wait on the dual core processors unless your positive in the next few months it will be worth having. Personally I have the 4000+ SD and it works great. I recommend the 4000+ chip. If you want further investigating look at the CPU chart comparison that Toms Hardware Guide has to offer.

Im not sure about the processor since thg says the 4000+ SD is an excellent chip for the value and is faster than the 4200 or 4400 wich are X2, so I dont know what's best... when I faster that's in game apps. what do y ou guys think

4000 SD 2.4GHz with 1MB L2. To get the same performance AND get dual-core get the 4800CDBOX X2 2.4GHz with 2x1MB L2. Also add $300. If you get a slower X2 either games will run slower (but could you tell?) or overclock (3800 2GHZ X2 clock to around 2.6). You are spending serious green on a new system. If it were me I'd get the 4800 X2 now, looking 1-2 years down the road to upgrade the videocard.
