The MkIII Figgy-proof shelter plans will shortly be publicly available -

I've never tasted poutine, but it sounded like a hearty dish. Perhaps
it's something to savor when the temperatures are cold. I thought it
was more popular in Quebec City rather than in Montreal. Thanks for the
warning on it being a bad combo.

They're not 'my' deep-fried Mars Bars - although I have to admit to a
hankering after one (for experimental purposes only - never tried it yet!).
The idea did seem to originate north of the border IIRC - but I suspect it
was a Sassenach pandering to the Scots' well-known sweet tooth.

Sheesh!! I go away for 10 days and come back to see Shane is now blathering
on about Meese and Mars Bars.......LOL!!
1. Mars Bars are made about 20 minutes from my house.
2. Moose/meese.....saw one in Maine about 4 years ago.....rather large,
clumsy animal that you don't want to run into.
3. Fibreglas Meese.....friend of mine got paid big bucks to paint a couple.
One was for Lastman, Rick.....he didn't like it. But then again, did you
ever see his wife??
Still not entirely back on Earth!! Blame that on trying to get thru Silj's
home town which has the worst roads in Canada.....grin. Not to mention the
crazy drivers!!
Quebec was lovely as usual.....but it rained for most of our trip. One day
was 40C plus and bleepin' HOT.....the next day was 11C and raining. Oh
well.....at least it was a break and the food was wonderful!! No Mars bars
tho. (or meese)

Literally... picture a one ton water heater at windshield level; usually
cars/occupants fare as bad as the moose.

can imagine what it looked like; "N-o-o-o-body!!"; but nope, just him
and his kid in the commercials. I'm still ticked at him for calling the
army in when we got a "little snowstorm" a few years back.

ya missed the fun here; it was 5 days straight of 35-40 (wondered if I
had woke up in the right country), then the (muchly appreciated) rain
came for a few days... we're just getting out of that trough.
