Can someone point me to an idiots guide to setting up a wireless PPC
connection?

Specifically, I'm using an Ipaq 2210 to connect via a Netgear WAP which is
connected to my router (connected via ADSL to the internet).
Ipaq is running Windows Mobile 2003 (or whatever its real name is!).

I have managed to get the PPC to associate with the WAP ok but I think the
problem lies with telling the PPC about its connection.
It appears not to be getting an IP address from the router.

So could someone point me to a step-by-step guide please?

Are there are basic utilities for the PPC e.g. ping and/or ipconfig.
This will at least tell me a) if I have an IP address and b) if I can
"see" my router.

Thanks

Pete

It would be difficult to create a generic beginners guide to wifi since it
really depends on what brand of routrer etc...

It sounds like you need to enable DHCP on your router. You're on the right
track though - I'd recommend installing a freeware utility called 'vxutil'.
It will show you your IP address etc... You can get it on freewareppc.com.

Hope this helps!
