i have a compaq notebook (windows xp) with:
Linksys WPC54G Wireless G PC Card Adapter Has both standards built in, so
you can connect your notebook to existing 802.11b infrastructure, and also
the new screaming fast Wireless-G networks.

and a 20" g5 imac (os x) with wireless mouse, keyboard and internet with:
Internal Bluetooth Module
Bluetooth unplugs your digital peripherals and makes cable clutter a thing
of the past. Bluetooth is an open specification for wireless data
transmission that operates on the globally available 2.4GHz radio frequency.
Bluetooth devices can communicate with each other within a 30-foot range.
Using Bluetooth, personal digital assistants, cellular phones, and other
devices can connect wirelessly with your Mac.

Bluetooth opens up a new world of possibilities. Together, Apple's iSync
application and Bluetooth allow you to easily synchronize your address book
and calendar with your mobile phone and your Palm powered PDA without even
having to plug them into the computer. Additionally, you will be able to
manage many of your mobile's phones features from your Macintosh. By linking
your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone with Apple's address book in Mac OS X you
can dial your contacts, send SMS text messages, and managing incoming voice
calls right from your desktop1. Bluetooth opens up a new dimension in
wireless communication. Go cable free, share, send, and synchronize with
Bluetooth. It's easy and fun!

1 SMS requires a mobile phone with GSM wireless technology and SMS data
service provided by a GSM wireless operator

they are both connected to:
Linksys Wireless G Broadband Cable/DSL Router The Future-Proof
All-In-One Wireless-G Networking Solution with an Access Point, Router, and
4 port Switch all integrated into one solution.

and a modem supplied by comcast.

i have an older hp laserjet 5n printer i would like to be able to access
with both computers (the mac and the pc notebook) wirelessly...but the
printer only has parallel ports no USB ports...and i also have a hp color
printer with USB ports that i would also like to be able to access...what
pieces do i need to put this all together? i do not have a server...although
i could hook up a snap server!

i use comcast cable and the modem has both an rj45 and usb on the back which
connects to the router...i then have a mac G4 and a desktop windows xp hard
wired to them so that i can get on the internet...but i want to be able to
print to the usb printer and the parallel printer from all 4 computers
