Hi,

I have Win XP, Samsung 17" monitor and Intel graphic card (64Mb)
the picture in not sharp enough.
What can I do to upgrade picture quality.

An .inf file may have been included with the monitor, or be available for
it from the Samsung WEBsite. This should ensure that the monitor refresh
rate is within specs.

Check monitor documenation to review setting options.

Try a different resolution, under Control Panel|DISPLAY|SETTINGS. 1024 X
768 is common for a 17" screen.

Test a different monitor, to eliminate the possibility that yours is
defective, or plug yours into another PC.

since the other elenents can only repruduce what is there; my guess is your
video card, probably mobo integrated?

To expound a little further. The .inf is like a driver file for your
monitor. The only reason to install these is to use a custom color set
for your monitor.

You can try installing this, but the main cause is going to be the
resolution. If you have a flat panel monitor, you will want to run the
monitor at the native resolution (which is going to be 1280x1024). If
you are using a CRT monitor, you may want to check the refresh rate that
you are using. All of these can be changed through Display Properties
in the Control Panel :)
