When I connect my Ipaq 1930 to my PC for synching it tries to connect to the
internet - the dial up connection appears. If I am on the net when
connecting Norton tells me Depp Throat Back Door Trojan is trying to acces
my pc. Do I have a trojan/virus? How can I stop the Ipaq trying to connect
every time I link to my PC. This did not happen before I rebuilt my pc.
Running PPC2003 and XP Pro.

Cheers to whoever.

If when you plug your device into ActiveSync and it attempts to dial/connect
to the internet it may be due to the fact that your ActiveSync is setup to
think your desktop is connected to a "Work" connection. In order to change
this setting to tell ActiveSync that your desktop is connected to the
Internet, perform the following steps:

Note: Steps may vary depending on the version of ActiveSync.
1) Open ActiveSync on the desktop
2) Click File -> Connection Settings...
3) In these settings, change the "To use pass through, this computer must be
connected to:" setting to [The Internet]
4) Ok out of these settings and re-connect the device.

This should correct the problem
