(Sorry for ostensibly a re-post for those of you in the
comp.sys.mac.hardware.video newsgroup)

I recently purchased a Mac Mini which has a ATI Radeon 9200 built into
the motherboard. Since purchasing I have had nothing but problems trying
to get the system to work with my Sony GDM-FW900 CRT as has pretty much
everyone who has tried to get their Monitor (CRT) to work with the
system...I've tried pretty much everything I can imagine with no
success. (If anyone is interested in the specific problem:

I've noticed that ATI has specific drivers for this card on their web
site I was wondering does OS 10.3 load a generic driver when it
references a video card as Windows XP does or does it use the ATI
reference driver?

If I load the ATI reference driver does it also add utilities to the OS,
on Windows ATI and nVidia both load system utilities in the system tray,
which brings me to my next problem?

I've given up on trying to get my CRT to work and I've switched to my
LCD Samsung SyncMaster 193p which doesn't have any mac utilities. If the
reference driver does load system utilities is the ability to rotate the
screen amongst the utilities.

I'm new to the Mac OS so I really have no idea as to what I'm doing.
Thanks - CES
