So/So Review. IMHO

I think the review on the MM-A800 is a little off base. The true beauty of this phone, and one that wasn't really brought out is the fact that I can add a 512Mb Trans-Flash module, and they are completely swappable, so you could even have more then one. One dedicated to games, one for images and so on. Also no need to power down the phone to swap cards.

The whole point of this phone is to avoid paying for image transfers through the sprint network, and use the Flash card instead. At $50 each, not a big deal. That was the main reason I got this phone...I refuse to pay them to transfer images.

Honestly I think the images are good quality for 2MegaPix, as good as a full 2MegaPixel Digital Camera. The camera is also very functional; it has all the features a normal digital camera has. Multi-shot is an awesome feature. Optical, and Digital zoom.

Also the media player is pretty awesome in my opinion...They also offer for free an application that will convert just about any movie file type into the .pg2 file type. I converted a 148Mb movie into a 7Mb .pg2 file...SO with a 512Mb card that’s a lot of movies.

I will give you this...The phone is a little on the bulky side.

Also with a little bit of customization you can really change the power saving features to exceed 4 hours.

The other cool thing is you can take your favorite image, upload to the Trans-Flash card, and use that as your custom background image...This can be any image file. You just have to fit it to the screen.
