still using my Startac but looking for a new phone

I just really like the feel of the startac phone that I've had for
awhile. But here are the features that I'd like to have in the next
phone that I've been holding off getting:

Actually here is what I don't need first:
internet access - I use two large monitors at work and two at home.
I like lots of things open and lots of stuff happening and the thought
of internet access on a little web phone makes me ill. So no thanks.

- I don't need a palm pilot type device.

What I do want is this:

- I'd like the phone to act as a digital voice recorder for taking
memos. I tried a few of these dedicated digital voice recorders over
the years and the most satisfactory one I had was a Olympus but it had
a very poor on/off switch and caused me lots of grief so I've given up
on this type of device until it becomes incorporated into a cellphone,
which I've heard it has.
- easy upload and download of my phone book into the phone, hopefully
without any special premium priced cabling.
- standard headset connector as I have a lot of standard headsets that
work with the startac.

-can't see a need for a camera because I carry a little Canon digital
Elf when I want one. Maybe someday if/when lens technology makes the
cameras in phones useful for closeups maybe I'd consider it.

- ability to put ring sounds into the phone that I generate myself.

Any recommendations?
