Hey, so I figured this would be an ok place to stick this... I'm currently using the Linspire bootable cd, and its great! I would defintly reccomend buying it. It can do everything (so far) that windows can. Except without cd rom support, because Its using it for the cd to run the os. Once I get my new hdd I'm going to partion 20 gigs of it just for linspire, so I can have it. Its really nice.

I haven't used Linspire, but recently I've installed Xandros 2.01 Open Circulation Edition (in Virtual PC). It's the best out of the box Linux I've ever seen and it's definately less cluttered than any other Distro.

MEPIS is not bad, but with few tweaks and customizations, it can become better than Xandros and other similar distros.

Not bad really. I would buy the bootable cd before you buy the actual ISO.

Why buy it when it is free? MEPIS is just as good as all of those previously discussed and it is FREE...plus its bootable and operates as a live CD for those that want to check it out.
