P4C800 Deluxe

I recently upgraded my motherboard, CPU, and memory from an old Athlon TBird system. I heard you guys are pretty rediculous with helping people on here so here is my issue.

Tried to build the machine with the old 300W supply but didn't have the right connectors. Got the new supply, but apparently the mouse I was using at home has a bad PS2 connector and it was shorting out my case, therefore I got no boot up. After assembling the machine step by step everything got working.
I reformated C, changing it from FAT32 to NTFS. I then installed XP Professional again. Then I installed the motherboards software so that the onboard LAN, sound, and chipset would work.
I began to get strange blue screens citing:
PAGE FAULT IN NON PAGED AREA
I believe they started after I ran all the automatic Windows updates. Windows also created another Administrator user name, called "Administrator" and by default logged onto it after restarting after getting the updates installed. After some finagling with the user accounts and such I removed this user and now have just my default user.
I began to get more blue screens of the same nature in more random locations. Twice it has happened after windows starts and I try to open IE. Sometimes it will happen immediately after loading windows. I've had the blue screen error occur twice when trying to install Hidden and Dangerous 2. That game installed on the second try but randomly during the game it would freeze and then return to the windows desktop. On this last, third try of installation I recieved this blue screen error message:
IRQ LESS OR NOT EQUAL
Now for the more recent developments. I checked the device manager to make sure all was ok. It wasn't. Apparently the SM Bus Controller didn't get drivers with the Asus inf update software that I ran. So XP didn't recognize it. I downloaded a standalone inf updator from their site and the issue was resolved.
This took care of one of the symptoms. When I ran Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin the game would work fine but when I would exit the game I would get the famous page fault error. Now I do not. But, unfortunately the errors have not ended, and do not seem to follow a general pattern.
Does this look like a memory issue? Is my CPU running to hot? Checks into the hardware monitor in the bios show it running around 40-45 C. during normal operation. Or is is that the SM Bus Controller should have been installed first before anything else and that is what is causing the malfunctions. Or has the short with the PS2 connection damaged some components? I am fully willing to reformat and do it all over again but look, if someone could just narrow down the problem or tell me where to investigate I would be very grateful. I'm no idiot when it comes to these things, but memory and CPU generate errors still have me at a loss. If neccesary I could grap the specific error codes when they occur next but I figured that with the errors being so general it would not help.

Oh yeah, also, your power supply looks good, but you might wanna watch the voltages anyway with something like motherboard monitor.

This "high speed" memory isn't high speed at all, it's overclocked. And because of that you usually have to set it to higher voltages just to make it run at stock speed. I also recommend you try setting your "DDR Reference Voltage" to 1.75v. You'll find this setting under the Advanced menue, Jumper Free Configuration, AI Overclock Tuner set to Manual. Using the Manual setting brings up added BIOS features such as RAM voltage.
