I recommend 2 changes to your new list.

The PSU. I know the price looks good but if there is 1 component in a PC that you do not go cheap on, it is the PSU. A bad PSU can fry the whole system. Only 25 amps on the single 12v rail, no PCI-E power connector, no PFC, 1 SATA cable, only 350 watts sustained and a lot of reviews show them dying in less than a year. Recommended brands are Corsair, Seasonic and PC Power & Cooling (largely all made by Seasonic itself). The best of the best and include 5 year warranties.

I also noticed you selected the HD 4670. Likely because it's the most powerful card you can buy that doesn't require a PCI-e power connector. That's good but it's also a weaker card than the 9600 you already have (not by much though). Selecting a better PSU will obviously allow you to step up a little higher on the GPU as well. I'd hate to see you buy a new PC and have it game about the same as before.

That PSU doesn't have a 6 pin PCI-e power connector though I see the GTS 250 comes with a molex to 6 pin adapter. This is not a full time solution and I do not recommend you game on it. Those adapters are for temporary low power use only.

I know it sucks but you need a different PSU.

And yes, the GTS 250 is indeed more powerful than the HD 4670 but you need a proper PSU to power it.

KirkR here. i ordered my computer (on it right now! :D). i ordered a different PSU by BFG tech. it had the 6 pin cable to fit the PCI-e x16 GTS 250. i ended up changing a lot of the order. got a single core 2.8GhZ processor, but it works great. i'm only running Win-xp so i'm fine for now. gonna ask for a triple core for christmas :D. anyways, i'm very happy with my purchase. WoW runs 25 FPS in Dalaran with settings Maxed, with my processor on 'power saver mode'. and I saw a lot of people complain that the GTS 250 was too loud, but honestly, i dont hear a thing. all i hear is the rear 120mm exhaust fan, which is still really quiet. i posted pictures of the build on my facebook, if you want to take a look.

http://www.facebook.com/#/album.ph [...] 0180764653

very proud of this build, being my first. i'm surprised i hooked everything up right o.O

anyways, ordered some LED lights for the internal of my case, and an LED side fan, the cooling system is good enough, but, it'll look cool :D

thanks again for all your help guys, it really helped me.

Much Appriciation,
Kirk R

You're welcome. Glad it's running OK on the first try. That always feels good even after you've built a dozen computers but it is especially sweet with your first build.
