Great review on the OQO. Conclusion is a little surprising.

OQO could take the mobility revolution to the next level. The Nokia 9000 PDA-Phone introduced the 2-in-one concept a few years ago but it has not excited the market. On the other hand, notebooks continued its desktop substitution for road warriors and the take-work-home regime.

The OQO or the uPC segment in general, could allow these 'mobile' workers to merge their PDA-Notebook-Desktop into one device. The total cost of ownership, inclusive of the horde of necessary accessories, would still be very low compared to the 3 devices. The weekly time savings to operate and maintain would be a long-awaited welcome. Imagine, one set of software licences, one set of installation, one set of backups, zero set of synchronization.
