I was told by a co-worker today that we should start telling our people not to keep many e-mails within their inbox (I do agree) and also not to have any folders within their inbox, because if the Inbox itself gets to big it will become corrupted. I argued that ALL the folders are located within the PST, so it shouldn't matter if the user's folders are located inside the inbox or in the "root" of the PST. Does anyone happen to have any information on this, preferrably with documentation? I don't mind making changes, but with 500 or so users between our three buildings, and most of them hating change, I want to find some proof before we make the change.

Thanks!!

I'd rather be at Wrigley Field!

Not sure if this is what they are referring to but maybe it will get you on the right path.

Try scanpst.exe to repair the .pst file corruption, in case it fails then try third party PST Repair Tool to resolve the problem.
