More Information

Sonic just lowered their price on DVDit! PE to just under $130. This seems a really good price, considering their previous price on it was $349. I have been using Studio 7 with good results over the past two years for editing and Ulead DVD Movie Factory 7 for burning DVDs. I notice that Pinnacle is set to release Studio 9 in mid-January. I have not bought Studio 8 based on the bad reviews, but now it can be bought at Best Buy for $9.99 (after $50 Mail in Rebate), which makes it a very attractive option. My main gripe with my current programs is the authoring times - A one hour .avi file takes just over 3 hours to make the first DVD on a AMD XP1800/512mbRAM/120gb 7200rpm/XP Pro PC. According to the DVDit! site, this process is reduced by 60 times. Would like some feedback on DVDit! PE and some feedback on Studio 9, if anyone has seen a beta or has any pre-release info on it.
