Hi, C= and Ami friends,
Just one week to the Classic Gaming Expo 2005, and the Fresno Commodore
User Group will have its usual table there.  Look for the usual items on
display and for your use -- Commodores and Amigas running games (and... shhh...
productivity applications).  Look for the usual items for purchase -- C64s,
C128s, disk drives, monitors, and software.  Look for the usual good guys
behind the table -- Ed Hart, Mitch Zollinger, and myself.  Look for the usual
freebies -- cookies and punch!  We'll be located at the tables near the arcade
game machines.  (Ohhh, the noise!) ;-)
Now if you get tired of us, you have the rest of the vast CGE to
explore -- a visit to the CGE museum of rare items, a spin at the arcade
machines set on free play, a gander at the many exhibits and other tables, a
listen to the speakers.  Jay from the 4Jays.com will have plenty of 8-bit stuff
for sale at his booth, including Commodore (o.k., Jay, after people buy
monitors from us, I'm sending them over to your table for the chroma/luma/audio
cables).  Luminaries, such as Steve Cartwright of Activision, David Crane of
games like Decathlon and Ghostbusters, and Garry Kitchen of Gamemaker fame,
will grace the speaker podium.  R.W. Bivens of Oldergames.com will release the
new Commodore 64 text adventure, Weird Worlds 2.  8-Bit Weapon, with lead C=
keyboardist, Seth Sternberger, will regularly play SID tunes over the
showroom's sound system.  And it will be a vast room, large enough to hold the
expected 1,800 attendees.
CGE's new location is at the 4-star Hyatt-Regency Hotel - San Francisco
Airport.  For more information on the August 20-21 Classic Gaming Expo 2005, go

      satisfying weekend,
