hello guys,
ok i've got a small prob with my internet explorer. occasionally, when I opens up my interent explorer, there'll be another pop-up, something about an online casino. Problem is, this pop-up ad isn't from the page that i visits, but its sort of configured to pop up ocasionally. This pop-up comes occasionally, no matter what site I visit, be it yahoo, microsoft, etc.
My question is, is there any way to get rid of this pesky popup ad? Maybe edit some key in the registry? Thanks.
Download, Install, and Run "Ad-Aware", and "Spybot-Search and Destroy." These programs are spyware removal utilities, and many times will fix problems like what you're describing.
There's probably a cookie on your machine that tells the server it came from when to deliver the popup (e.g. at certain intervals). So yeah, you'll need to rid your machine of spyware, if they're evident.
