I have two offices. One in San Francisco and one in Los Angles. I want to
share files printing accesses to both printers. Bascially setting up file
server and a univerisal print server. i was thinking of subscribing to 1and1
services to obtain windows 2003 server. I was thinking since 1and1 company
has the very hugh upstream and downstream, having a remote server would be a
good idea. Since both offices has a T1 line what is the best way to connect
to the server and how do you do it. Both offices will have windows xp pro
and server is running windows 2003 with latest patches and service packs. I
want to setup server so i can have a map drive that connect to it so i can
easily store and retrieve data from it. I also want it to be a domain
controllor so would our computers at both office be slow because it needs to
conect to 1and1 windows 2003 server. Please let me know some insight on how i
should approach this. I think i am on the right path.

You might want to try posting to the
microsoft.public.windowsxp.work_remotely newsgroup. This newsgroup supports
Microsoft's Broadband Networking hardware and software, not networking in
general.
