Acer and dell are a plus because Acer has a very good choice of gaming laptops and dells are reliable. I am open to
which ever brand though.

I prefer a NVidia graphics card because I do not trust the intel graphics but if you have more information on the pros to a radeon or intel please let me know. i5 is prefered but not sure how well the 3d programs work with i5s and if I should pay the extra for an i7 with the sacrifice of a good graphics card. The games listed are not that graphics heavy but I would like to be able to play other games on sufficient graphics so it would be nice to have a better graphics card then just sufficient enough.
I am going to college to major in computer science so if any compsci majors know additional information on specific specifications I may need that would be good to know.

1gb of video memory seems necessary for 3d modeling and game development though.
