my acer aspire 5360 lost its dvd/cd-rom drive, on following some advice on a forum i made some reg adjustments and re-booted system. on re-boot i found my keyboard and touch pad will not respond in any way. works on bios screen and on rescue selection screen (f8) when safe mode or any other option selected the keyboard cursor appears on screen but wont respond and touchpad the same. its running xp. not so much bothered about the disc drive now,just want my keyboard to wakeup! any help and suggestions would be much appreciated! thanks claire

Try holding down the CTRL key and then pressing t n l consecutively letting go of each key after pressing.

c s d is another combination to use while holding down teh CTRL key.
