Hi , just a (silly) question.. is it possible to burn the lens if you
take a picture of something very bright ? for example the sun, or
another strong light source ?

could this damage the lighting sensor of the camera, such that pictures
from then on look very underexposed ?

FWIW, the sun will burn a hole in a focal plane shutter if you leave the
camera pointed at it too long (trust me--it was a Leica and the replacemet
cost typical Leica prices--I will _never_ forget that lesson). I doubt
that the CCD has a greater tolerance than a piece of cloth. The effect
though is more likely to be dead pixels than overall underexposure.
