Thread : Optimized Software
|

More Information

I was searching to see how far software developers had optimized thier products for both AMD and INTEL. I came up with this for INTEL, and I'm still looking for AMD. I thought there was much more out there. Aren't Maya, Photoshop, 3D Studio Max, Bryce, Dreamweaver and more important software packages optimized yet? It seems kind of ridiculous that Muppetworld is optimized but these aren't.

Where can I get a complete list though? I figured that AMD and INTEL themselves would have it on their site. Seems like the perfect thing to boast.

This partial list of software that has been optimized for the Pentium 4 was compiled from information at the following two URLs:

I think he did, just up there.

These are optimized for the P4 but Raystonn and the site didn't mention in what manner; for all we know, these optimized apps use SSE and are equally optimized for the Athlon XP.

Even sse2 optimised apps show performance improvements on athlonxp cpus(and all athlon cpus for that matter). Why is anyones guess, but I bet intels excellent compilers have something to do with it.
