Archived from groups: comp.sys.palmtops.pilot (More info?)

Sorry if this is a stupid question.
But up till now I've been syncing my Palm Tungsten E with my Mac using
the Star symbol on the Palm.
Connected to a new iMacG5, it doesn't work.
How does one connect from the Desktop or Hotsync Manager from the
computer end.
(NB I tried to download the iSync Palm Conduit from the Apple site but
was told there wasn't a version for the iMac G5. So I have to rely on
Hotsync.)

Can anyone help please?
