Forum Computer Peripherals : Flat Panel Monitors How do i turn on 120Hz on my Samsung s23a700d
Hey,
I bought a Samsung s23a700d, and i can't turn on 120Hz. How do i do that?
I'm using a Gigabyte GV-R695OC-1GD and the standard dual-dvi-d cable, that came with the monitor.

First of all make sure your cable is really dual link, how to? Check the pins:

Your graphics card can handle 120hz so you just need to change the screen refresh rate in Screen Resolution>Advanced>Monitor>Refresh Rate combo box….

I can't choose 120Hz, i can only pick 50Hz or 60Hz.
Are you sure you are using DUAL-LINK CABLE????
i am reading on the website and the dual link cable is like:
Optional Accessories DVI-DL cable
so maybe you are using normal DVI cable.
EDIT:you can also try the other video card dvi slot, i am reading that your card have 2 slots, one is DVI-I and the other is DVI-D, try changing it...
