Need help with an 8400GS fan header layout

Hey all, I'm trying to sort out a friends PC problem and I need some assistance in regards to the video card's fan connection (currently not spinning, causing various graphic glitches)
What I wanna do is hook up the fan directly to a molex, Maybe if it'd spin it'd sort out (assuming the damage is not already done), Here's my problem, I know that in a molex the red wire is 5V, the yellow is 12V and the blacks are ground, The vid card fan has two wires (black & red), Would it be right for me to assume that the red is 5V too? I'm not entirely sure if the color coding is identical in video cards and I'd really appreciate some help on this.
