I recently purchased a dacmagic and two 8' krk rokits for home theater and pc use. The volume over usb input is unbearably loud! I launched unreal anthology and the bass shook my room. I nearly gave myself a heart attack. I tried adjusting the volume from the volume control panel in windows 7 but no change. I even set the volume on both reference monitors as low as possible and it helped but it was still ungodly loud. Do I need to purchase a hardware volume controller for my xlr output?
