my surround sound dvd player stopped playing my disc's. now it just says "loading" then doesn't play movies. Do I need to use a cleaner for the dvd player? and do they make such a product for that?

same question - mine says loading then no disc. probably time to get a new player.

If the dvd player says loading it probably does not see the disc due to failure of the laser. Given how cheap dvd players are you could replace it for not much more than some bogus cleaner.

if you mean a cleaner for the lens then yes there are ones with little brushes on them for this purpose. normally these are fairly cheap, $5-10 or so. if you have a higher end player you might want to try this first. if you have a cheap player than replace it with another cheap player under $20. it might be dirty or it might be a real problem, hard to tell without trying. cleaner does work (well its alcohol based i think) and i've used it in the past on some different players with success. just make sure that your particular player is okay with using them...
