I have dsl and a mn-100 router I will be getting some new
cat6 ethernet cable and a new 1000mb network card. I want
to know if my mn-100 router will be able to sent data at
the 1000mb speed. please reply via email, thanks.

The Modem port is limited to 10Mbps, and the other ports to
100Mbps.

If I have a highspeed modem and I wire it to the modem
port on the router. Then wire the router to my PC (as
outlined in the manual). Am I now limited to 10 Mbps for
my wired connection?

Yes, for Internet access. Anyway, most ISPs don't have come
close to 10Mbps -- some cable access runs at 3Mbps, and DSL
can go to 1.5Mbps and rarely more. So the router is not the
bottleneck.

Between computers within your LAN, the speed is limited at
100Mbps for wired computers.

Unless you have very special needs -- such as being an ISP
or large corporation -- 100 Mbps (or even less) is often
sufficient (hopefully until 1Gbps routers become
cost-effective, heh).

Hello:

Based on a recent test my download speed is 14 upload is
324. How can I make this work with my wired PC Win 98
hooked up to the router. I can't seem to figure this out?

A 1.7 KB/sec transfer rate.
My upload speed is much faster than down.. My upload
speed : 331950 bps, or 324 kbps.
