Hp laptop dv2000 powers on (sometimes)

Okay I have had this hp laptop for a year or so, and I have recently started having this issue where the laptop will sometimes (more like 2/5 times) not turn on when I power it on, even though all the lights are on, but the screen remains black, so I am stuck shutting the laptop off by holding down the power button and powering it back on which eventually does work....Is there a solution to this problem? What hardware issue may be causing this? Thank you!
