With the new 7970 opening eyes I think it would handle Auto cad 3D easy, Revit is more CPU based... I love the program myself... and my 512mb GPU with an I5 was able to build a massive warehouse with no issues.. Vector works has small recommended system requirements, and this system would swallow Photoshop. (NOTE) These are australian websites... you may be able to find a better priced product on newegg ect.. I don't think 2 590's would be that much better for your value of the 3gb card. This case already has AWESOME airflow (I have one myself) and the PSU is build to OC to the teeth so you can go wild with overclocking if you want... Other than that if i were to change anything I might get a slightly better MoBo..

Goodluck :)

Well, fist of all thanks alot for your advice...

i have a couple of concerns, this configuration seems really nice and it fits perfectly to my budget but i wanted to ask what if i wanted to change the processor to a Intel Core i7-3930K @ 3.20GHz

And also would this GPU be better than a Quadro Nvidia set to SLI

im thinking i might go a little over my budget but it might be worth it ... though i also want to know if im going to have an overpowered machine for my 3D needs

thanks :)

Could anyone tell me if the dell precision mobile workstation be better than the alienware M17 and how should i configure it??

Hahah, the precision WS are pretty good I do have to say... There more of a ARC GIS, Arc Map, Auto Cad type of a unit (not gaming). It would be idea... but again the Desktop provides better options, and upgrades down the track.
