I have two hard disk one is 160 gb ide and other is 500 gb ide hard disk I want to assign 160 gb hard disk as primary hard disk and 500 gb hard disk as secondary hard disk .How can i assign 160gb hard disk as primary and 500 gb as secondary hard disk on my dell optiplex gx270.

The use of Jumpers will enable you set the drives however you like.
