Welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums!

Try two things: 1) Update the video driver, and 2) Use the VGA cable instead of the DVI cable.

There is a common issue where the solder on Nvidia cards (mostly) starts to separate.. causing red/purple lines on the screen... you may also see dots..
