I have a Dell Inspiron 8200 2ghzM, 512 PC2100, 60gb Drive, CD-RW/ROM, 15" UXGA, Dual Mouse, Dual Battery, 802.11b, Integrated Ethernet, Modem, XP Pro. Want to sell as package with Lexmark Printer, HP Scanner and addtional Optical Mouse. Is their a equation or something I could use to properly price this stuff? All stuff is less than a year old.

Yes, I used to have a similar config 8200. I would sell that at no less than $2500 - probably more if you can manage it, your system will still hold its ground. IF it is in good condition, the extras will certainly make your setup an appealling one.

$2500 is most likely your ceiling ($2000 - $2200 being the most likely price), including the periphials.

Shortly saying - plastic Dell does not sell well. If you could get 2Gs for it, you can consider yeself lucky. Periferilz do not play any role, unless some one really needs them. Especially Lexmark printers. They are the most expansive pieces of equipment to maintain.

uh, any other country than the one you're in now is overseas - ideally UK or South Africa (If you brought it here you would make a killing. Put it this way a brand new Dell Latitude D800 will cost you R26549 ( / 7.5 = $3600), whereas in the States it would go for no more than $2100.

hehehe, you might. It's mainly notebooks that are expensive here, normal computer components etc. are much the same. The problem is tax: If you bring in bulk, or ship components over, tax will be applied, and will negate the profit.

So, could you clarify on what is the price for that Dell without tax? I am not sure what to think now, is it priced the same as here, and the tax is what makes it more expansive, or the cost is a lot more over there without tax already. I am little lost with what is the right thing to know now.

No, it is a lot more expensive to by a notebook here. I bought my Inspiron 8200 in the states, because I could by it and the plane ticket for basically the same price as the notebook cost here.

I'm just saying that if you were, for instance, to bring in 200 AthlonXP CPUs, you would be taxed for them because you are essentially importing them in bulk.
