I have a old Compaq XP media Center Edition 2005. It is a singal core motherboard, but it also has a "Firewire" conx in the back of it and I want to keep that part. My ???? is this; is there any motherboards that I can install, upgrade into it, to 2 duel core or something close to that? Without going into too many problems with my software. OS is Windows XP. I've had this PC sonce 2005, I installed new GC InVied and it's working fine. I just would like to upgrade the motherboard from a singal core to a duel core. Anyone has any info please let me know how.

It is not economical to put money into this computer. Use it as-is, and look into a newer more powerful computer.
