I have a Gateway 500X desktop. When I power the computer on, the monitor goes into power saver mode and then goes black. I tested the monitor on another desktop and it works OK there. Does this mean I need to replace the video card? Thanks.

Could be the video card, could be the motherboard, could be the power supply, could be RAM.

Does the PC turn on at all, fans, drive spin up? Lights?
