Hi,

Just to let everyone know, Micro$oft has got sick of all the illigal XP
users so now it is required to validate windows or else you wont be able
to update your computers or download anything from the Micro$oft site.

Course' there is always a way to bypass this system legaly, all above
the law.

There is a very nice program called "AutoPatcher XP" avalible for
download since 2003 i think, its pretty big but it has a Lite and
UltraLite version. You can find it at http://www.autopatcher.com/.
There is usually a new version out every month, it alows you to update
windows xp without downloading anything exept for the program, every
month just download the upgrade for more updates.

The best thing about AutoPatcher XP is that it is free. Im not
advertising, im offering a sollution to peoples update problems. This
program is etremly good if you have a network of computers, just burn
it on CD, install on all computers and update windows without
downloading on windows update at all!

And why shouldn't Microsoft protect its interests by requiring validation
for downloads. If I stole something from you, you would be the first to
complain. Illegal copies amounts to theft!

Not to worry, one day later new ones will appear. Meanwhile, only the PAYING
customers that have their legit XP rejected will suffer.

Because both PA and WGA are flawed and some legit XPs are being flagged as
illigitimate. Because MS assumes you're a pirate until you, if you're lucky,
prove otherwise. Not one pirate will be affected as the cracks come out one
or two days after MS "protects its interests". The ONLY people who are
affected are PAYING customers. Get it now?

LOL! F*#k Microsoft, by any means necessary.

MS is a proven corporate criminal. Both as a predatory monopoly, and as
an intellectual property thief.

It assumes EVERYONE is a scumbag, just as it is. So it treats is PAYING
CUSTOMERS as they are French criminal, guilty until proven innocent. In
the process, totally legitimate customers are getting screwed, but MS
doesn't gives a rat's ass about those who already paid for MS software
getting screw, they already banked those billions upon countless
billions! MS is more concerned about the pocket change they think PA
and WGA will bring in.

MS's KNOWS that completely innocent people get locked out by its PA and
WGA technologies, but it does care about those people. Well it's time
for customers to stand up for themselves, run to their windows and
scream, "I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not gonna take it any longer!"

When MS sees how many people are pissed, and threatening to go
elsewhere, MS will start to listen, especially when its stockholders see
how little revenue PA & WGA technologies actually bring in. My guess is
that MS develops, impliments, and runs DRM, PA, WGA, and future
usage-limiting technologies in the red by very large margins.

What was you question, again? ;-)

I know and I'm getting there. The alternative is to educate as many
people as possible about the evil's of usage-limiting technologies.
Consumers, so they don't end up supporting it by continuing to fund
usage-limiting technologies by buying products from companies like MS
the develop and impliment them, and Stockholders, so they put pressure
on the operating officers of these corporation because these
technologies end up cutting into stockholders dividends!

So that is the alternative, to educate to promote change.

Remove PA and WGA of course, what else? Trust your customers. The pirates
won't be stopped anyway, be they casual or professional so what's the point
of making paying customers jump through unnecessary hoops and if a family
decides to install XP on all three of their computers, so what? MS made its
mark with 95, 98 and W2K, all of which were pirated professionally and
casually. Nonetheless, MS became one of the biggest and richest
multinationals in the world and Billy boy isn't exactly having a cash flow
problem. Obviously, piracy didn't stop them from becoming a successful
company.

Not with bigfix http:://help.bigfix.com They have contracts with
Microsoft to provide the direct download links. This is a legal and
has been preinstall in a lot of computers. They won't stop this
without a fight from oems and big fix. Big fix handle a lot of
corporations and has contacts with them.

John where have you been? I been reading in newsgroups and web pages
that legal installs of all kinds are having problems getting the wga
approval.

Legal bought preinstalled system from major companies.
legally bought xp operating system-Upgrade, oem. retail

Alleged illegal copies, don't you mean?

Microsoft is a LEGALLY PROVEN Intellectual Property thief, but people
that failed activation or validation are only ALLEGED IP thieves. PA
and WGA are not legal proof of any wrong-doing!

Plenty of people that are totally legally legitimate users of XP get
denied by PA and WGA, is that OK to you?

John, my hope is that karma catches up with you, and you get screwed by
usage-limiting technologies!

After about a bazillion updates.

This one is even funnier than all the hacks to IE. One would think that
the largest software company in the world would get it right earlier,
rather than later.
