Hello,
I bought a gateway computer but when I turned in on it says re boot device and the screen is black

Is the computer new and under warranty? If so, you should contact Gateway tech support, so that the warranty will not be adversely affected by you making unauthorized changes - http://support.gateway.com/us/en/support/default.aspx

Also, it will help us help you better if you describe the problem in detail.
