Hello,
the screen on my fuji finepix s1500 has suddenly stopped working! I can view pictures, but when i'm in photo taking mode I cant see anything unless I look through the view finder. Lens cap is off, brand new batteries, definitely in picture taking mode. when i turn the camera on, the screen will work for about 1 second, then go black. HELP!!

Is there any type of power saving feature on this camera?

The problem does sound like a weak or under-capacity battery.
