I am re-buillding a Packard Bell Cyclops (Imedia) as the mobo is not working. I have replaced the old mobo (a columbia II mobo) with a Biostar 945GC-M4 and fitted a new power supply.

The only problem I have is the front panel connector from the Imedia case does not fit the front panel header on the mobo. Using a diagram of the old mobo I think I have established what the pins are on the front panel connector

Wire Colour/Description
White/FP But in
Black/GND
Green/HDR Blink YEL
Blue/HDR Blink GRN
Yellow/HD PWR
Brown/HDA
Red/+5V
Grey/GND

Now based on what I've found on the internet, it looks like I just have to connect the white, black and red wires to the new mobo to as described below

Wire/Front panel Header Assignment
White/Pin 8 - Reset Control
Black/Pin 7 - Ground
Red/Pin 1 - +5V

Now I've been working with computers for years, but this is the first time I've had to work on a computer with non-standard connections.

I would just like someone to verify what I have said is correct so I can finish off re-building the machine or give me some advice on how to get the power button to work.

Many thanks all :D :D :D :D
